The National Science Maths Quiz (NSMQ) mistress, Dr. Elsie Effah Kauffman is always on the alert as she holds her handbag whenever she goes to public functions.
This comes she lost her handbag containing valuables at the finals of NSMQ 2017.

In a video circulating online, Dr. Elsie was seen holding her handbag tightly as she sat in the midst of primary school children at an event dubbed “National Reading Day”. While delivering her speech at the event, Dr. Elsie was proudly showing off her brown bag which matched with her African print dress.

Dr. Elsie Kaufmann is a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana’s Department of Biomedical Engineering. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America.

She has been the quiz mistress of the highly popular schools’ competition since 2006, making her the longest serving among the quiz’s three coordinators.
